- To Jim or anyone else who is interested......
-
- If you want to integrate your radio with your computer dispatching program,
- you could use a multi-media board and wire a connector to connect audio
- output from your computer to the audio input leads of your encoder. You
- would not need to change anything in your software, except to route the
- sound (tones) output through the multi-media board. Multi-nedia boards don't
- cost that much ($300.00). Also, if you are looking to buy a new computer
- with a build in multi-media board, but a Gateway2000 in80486DX-66 vga32.
- My dad bought one of those recently for $3,000.00. It processes video
- images on the ATI board using a 32 bit bus.... fast as heck! Also, a
- multimedia board is included.
-
- I believe you can but software libraries for Pascal, C, and C++ for
- integration with multi-media boards.
-
- I hope this information helps.
