  39. The item quoted above was my reply so I feel obligated to address your
  40. post.

  42. Although I agree that the training for some very basic injuries IS the
  43. same or similar, how well does AFA prepare you for Dx'ing and Tx'ing
  44. the
  45. Acute MI or in-bleed. Recognizing the difference between an MI and AAA.

  47. What about proper reporting procedures, Ambulance operations,
  48. Medical/legal issues, etc. As I have previously stated, I am not
  49. knocking AFA. I am stating my belief that AFA no longer prepares
  50. someone
  51. to crew an EMS ambulance. In fact the DOT curriculum barely prepares
  52. you.

  54. As previously stated, AFA does have it's place in pre-hospital care,
  55. but
  56. that place is not in the back of an ambulance, IMHO.
