  18. Again, the requirements may vary by state since the federal government
  19. is out of the ambulance specs business.  The DOT KKK specs only apply
  20. to ambulances purchased by the government.

  22. You have your types a little mixed up.  A type I is a pickup truck
  23. chassis with a box.  There is no walkthrough, just a little window.
  24. A type II is a converted van, usually extended in length and height
  25. but not in width.  A type III is a box on a van chassis, with a 
  26. walkthrough.  I'm not sure what things like the new units we're
  27. seeing built on International medium truck chassis are called, if
  28. anything.
