- All ambulances in the US must be either a Type I,II, or III. These
- are the box rigs with a passthru and w/oa passthru and Vans. These
- are the only DOT ambulances.

- Ambulance services DO NOT have to be ALS certified, at least not in
- NJ. If we need a paramedic we request them thru our county
- dispachter. We only ride with 2-3 EMT's.
