- CE>Slow it down!!!! You are not an emergency vechle.
-
- That is where I disagree. I have been following this thread
- about lights in p.o.v's for a while now. I havn't had too much
- to say because I have about beat this subject to death with
- others in this echo before. We each made the same points for
- and
- against the use of lights in volunteer's vehicals. I must tell
- you tho..I am definitely in FAVOR of the use of lights. I have
- a
- lightbar on my truck and two strobe flashers on my front
- bumper,
- and I have no intentions of ever getting rid of them, unless
- ofcourse the KGB comes and takes them off themselves.
-
- Anyhow back to the disagreement. I believe that Volunteer
- Firefighters/EMT's driving Personal Vehicals should be
- designated as Emergency vehicals. After all, Nothing can get
- done untill we get there. Right?!?
-
- On the EMS side. I am an AEMT-D, I carry a jump bag and an O2
- cylandar in my truck. I have the capablility to keep a patient
- alive and a whole lot more comfortable until the ambulance gets
- there. I think that these reasons alone should designate our
- vehicals as EMERGENCY VEHICAL'S. After all we are transporting
- Emergency personel and equipment to the scene of an emergency.
- What does your rescue truck do??
-
- I would be happy to hear your further views on this issue.
