- Extended warranties, by and large, are pure profit for dealers;
- otherwise, they wouldn't try so hard to sell them to you.

- Insurance, both of which sell them for about half the cost a
- dealer will charge you (demonstrating how much profit there
- is in them). I don't know about AAA, but you don't have to
- be insured by Geico to buy their extended warranty. I have
- no experience with either of these extended warranty
