  23. Has the murder rate really gone up over the last 10, 50, and 100 years?
  24. Do you have any data to support this?  I can't say whether it has or not,
  25. but when people make such "Things are so much worse now than they used to
  26. be" statements without any proof, I find it hard to take it seriously.
