- first, many thanks to all of you for
- the speedy helps on the terminal problem.
- second, I think other people might find
- this info useful, so I post the solution here.

- the environment variable DISPLAY causes
- troubles in this terminal problem.
- the emacs doesn't recognize the DISPLAY
- (sometimes and on some terminal).
- so in this case, you should
- csh>unsetenv DISPLAY
- to nullify the DISPLAY variable
