  13. I've got an XView-based interface that inserts a whole list of items into a scrolling list. Currently it does it one at a time, which causes the list to appear to flicker
  14. and flash as it is rapidly changed.  Is there an XView call I can make that will
  15. `batch' these updates so that the visual part of the list is updated just once?

  17. There was something like this in SunView - pw_batch_on(pixwin) & pw_batch_off(pixwin)
  18. but I can't find anything like it in O'Reilly Vol. 7 (revised for XV2).
