- Hi everybody!
-
- Thanks to everyone who answered my question about NCSA telnet problem!
- Here is the solution:
- I guess I was very stupid assuming that the DECstation IP address
- and the gateway IP address are the same things. In /etc/rc.local there
- is an entry for the default gateway which in my case was different form
- the host IP. Putting it into NCSA did the trick!
-
- Now I have another question: how do you print with NCSA lpr?
- When I run it with lpr -Smyhost it says that /usr/lib/lpd is not allowed
- to print from this machine (IP). Then man page on lpd said that there is
- a file /etc/hosts.lpd which should have all IPs allowed to print.
- But we don't have that file, and when I created it, nothing happend...
- Any ideas?
-
- Thanks!!!!!
