- Thanks to everyone who responded, the problem was protections on
- /dev/tty00. Now I've got a wierd associated problem. If I run tip from
- an xterm, the terminal font gets switched to a wierd European
- character set (a's have accents, o's have umlauts) and instead of
- carriage returns I'm getting line feeds. I don't get this behavior if
- I use a DECterm, but for assorted reasons I'd really prefer an xterm.
- Since the net was so helpful last time, I figured I'd ask again if
- anyone has any ideas what's going on.
