  21. I have also experienced this problem, but have been unable to fix it. I
  22. have an ET4000 with latest drivers (4.0.3 patch 20ish (up to 24)) but have
  23. had the same results. I have tried different cards (two Tseng ET4000
  24. and one clone ET4000). The only difference is that I have problems
  25. with the actual mode itself. 1024x768 is garbage. Though this changes
  26. with the slot the video card is put into.

  28. This makes me beleive that the problems exist with the Motherboard and
  29. X software that is supplied with ESIX sVr4.0.3 and sVr4.0.4. If they
  30. have been changed with the up and comming release of sVr4.2.x - we'll
  31. just have to wait and see.

  33. Esix's stand on the position is unknown - I have faxed them a report
  34. on the problem twice with no responce, and have mailed it once. (I
  35. refuse to ring Esix from Australia and wait forever on hold!!!). My
  36. next choice is to replace the Motherboard - but thats more money.

  38. My thoughts are: If you are thinking to run Esix's X, make sure your
  39. machine isn't 'incompatable' with it. I am disappointed with the so
  40. called support they advertise with the product, and I will not upgrade
  41. to a later revision of Esix anything - but rather look around the
  42. market for other Unix's....
