  12. My problems with Dell's syslogd may be related --

  14.     syslogd does not log anything unless the superuser issues the
  15.     syslog system call.

  17. This behaviour is not the same as any other Un*x system that I have access
  18. to, and does not appear to be documented.

  20. Dell's support is 'looking at this' as well, but I am not hopeful of
  21. a fix anytime soon.
