  11. HELP!  I'm having a problem with remote printing working correctly with AIX 
  12. 3.2.  I'm trying to print from a PC connected via FTP's PC-TCP Plus.  When I 
  13. print something,  the banner page shows that the UID of the process is LPD.  
  14. The UID should be that of the individual doing the printing.  Normally I 
  15. wouldn't complain at such a small inconvenience, but the system I'm working 
  16. on is classified and the UID on the banner page must match the UID of the 
  17. individual picking up the print job.  FTP says their LPD and LPR 
  18. implementation is BSD compliant.  When I trace the print job, everything is 
  19. in tact when the job gets to the spooler on the IBM, but when LPD gets it??? 
  20. Has anyone experienced this problem or have a clue what the problem might be?
