- I bet you're running the X consortium xdm instead of the AIX version- I ran
- into the same problem a while back. The X consortium version of xdm is
- missing a call to setpcred(), which sets these values from the values in
- /etc/security/limits. Without this, the user's processes inherit incorrect
- limits values (originally from init, I believe).
