- At a previous version of AIX, mksysb only backed up mounted file
- systems in the root volume group. At the point, I backed up
- everything but /home by first unmounting /home and then running
- the backup option in "smit startup". This ran mksize file first,
- and I presume only created that .mkszfile ?spelling? for the
- stuff not counting /home. Of course, had to be done from a userid
- that doesn't use /home for home directory (default for root is home
- of /) and no normal users can be logged on.
-
- Have not tried this for recent releases.
