- Well, here's one place where knopwing the Sun routines in your
- sleep does no real good. How does one install, software-wise a
- new external HD onto and AIX machine (model 560 AIX 3.2)?
-
- I have successfully installed the HD physically, and have added
- the HD to a volume group and have even managed to set the HD to
- a mount point. My problem is:
-
- -how do I define a file system size so that I can have my new
- disk at something other than the default sizer of 4096KB?
- (Its a Wren IX, 2100 MB).
-
- -how do I set up a format.dat type entry for the IBM so that
- AIX recognizes what kind of parameters the Wren IX has
- (or is this too much SunOS'ism showing through) ?
-
-
- Thanks alot,
