- Your question is not strictly an NFS question. The thing is that
- you're also running YP/NIS (Network Information System), which
- means that essential files (like /etc/passwd) are only kept in
- full at the so called NIS master. So you need to know what host
- in your system is acting as NIS master. It should have the full
- password file (at least the common part).
