- It would be neat to make a change to the console driver to enable
- beeping through the audio device. It doesn't seem too terribly
- difficult coceptually since the driver already has to recognize
- control-G, then send a command to the keyboard to generate a beep
- through the keyboard's piezo element. Dealing with the audio is
- probably more sticky because one has to cooperate with the audio
- device driver.

- I'm not terribly familiar with the audio device, but it would be
- neat if the audio device supported an ioctl that produced a
- pre-defined beep, possibly with a selectable priority so that a
- playing sound could be interrupted for important audio notices.
