- I've upgraded one of client machines in our 2.2 network to 3.0. It works and is
- running with the other netinfo hosts. However, the Remotes application doesn't
- work under 3.0 (from what I've been told this is because the Terminal.app has
- been overhauled).
-
- I can live without Remotes since there only a few hosts our users log into and
- this can be taken care of with the new Terminal.app which allows unix shell
- scripts to run by double clicking on the icon.
-
- This is fine except after executing a script the Terminal.app leaves the window
- with the message:
-
- [Process exited - exit code 1]
-
- And leaves the Terminal.app still running with the window not closed.
-
- I've played with the Terminal.app preferences ("always close the window"
- specified) but the preference is used only if I run the Terminal.app directly.
- If I run the shell script icon it uses another default ("never close window").
-
- There doesn't seem to be any documentation on the new Terminal.app on the
- 3.0 CD so does anyone have a suggestion on how I can get a shell script to
- open up a window, run the script and then exit closing the window and the
- Terminal.app?
