- Hi all !
- Does anyone have real world-experience on the great joy of setting up a SLIP
- connection between a NetBlazer on a local network, with a demand fed SLIP
- connection to a remote site through the PTN (The phone dudes...) to another
- NeXTStation.
-
- I am about to go through the process, and so far IP routing, SLIP, routers,
- gateways, etc has been the domain of the techno-preists. Implementing our first
- SLIP connection was a voyage of mystery (it should have worked ... why can't it
- see the remote host ?). I figure someone out there has been there, and done
- this.
- If anyone is interested , I'll post something on how to configure the NetBlazer
- so it's happy with a remote demand fed SLIP interface to .... Marble
- Teleconnect.
-
- I'm asking while in the process of leaping. In the next few days, I will get it
- up and flying. It's just a matter of configuration now...
-
- ;-)
-
- What they really need to do is have someone write a NeXTStep based
- Configuration manager for the NetBlazer. It is O.K. to hack with, but ...
- pipeing and streaming and screaming commands in the background would be oh so
- much nicer.
-
-
- Thanks!
- Sean
