- Even better than the ATI, go for a new IBM XGA-2 card. I believe this card
- is now selling for under or around $300, and from what I have heard it
- will bury the ATI 8514/a Ultra.
- I know I am going to get one for my 70-121 ASICGEM (As Soon As I Can Get
- Enough Money). I am really looking forward to the performance boost,
- since my mother's 286 with EGA runs Prodigy faster than my 386, all due
- to the video difference.
- BTW, if you don't want to spend that much, IBM lowered their price on the
- plain XGA card to $210. It will probably then cost around $170-$180,
- but it only comes with 512K RAM (an upgrade lists for $60).
- Good luck,
- Eric
