- Hi, Netters,
-
-
- I am thinking to add a second hard drive (capacity 200M-300M)
- to my Gateway2000 386-based PC. Here is the configuration of my Gateway2000 PC:
-
- SYSTEM BOARD: 386-25Mhz AMI with 4M of RAM
- HARDDISK CONTROLLER: DTC RLL controller supporting
- 2 floppy drives and 2 hard drives.
- DISK DRIVE: Microscience RLL 65-Mbyte Drive
- I/O CARD: 2 serial + 1 Parallel
- VIDEO DISPLAY ADAPTER: ATI VGAWONDER Card
- MONITOR: NEC 3D VGA
- A Serial-Interface Mouse
-
- Since there's no RLL hard drives with high capacity, I consider to
- purchase a new controller (or a host adapter) and
- a hard drive with difference interface such as IDE, EDSI
- or SCSI. My question is I am not sure if the new second controller (or
- the host adapter) can coexist with the existing RLL controller
- on my PC.
-
- If you have successfully installed a second controller and hard
- drive to coexist with an RLL controller, could you send me information
- about the brand/model of the controller and the hard drive that
- you have.
-
-
- Thanks in advance.
