- a 14.4K connection. Make sure it's connected to the phone line and type
- AT\E1
- This only has to be done >once< when you set up the modem the first time,
- unless you change the phone line it is connected to.
- This sets the modem (permanently, or at least until you run AT\E1 again
- (unaffected by ATZ or the AT&W commands)) to match to the phone line's
- impendance.

- Try setting your terminal speed to 57600 and make the call, and you should be
- able to get a 14.4K connection every time. Works for me, no matter where I
- call.
