  25. It sounds like you have a defective monitor.  I say this because the
  26. same thing happened to me.  My original monitor worked fine until I
  27. heard a "pop" one day.  After that I could never get the usable
  28. screen area to be as big as before.

  30. After much talking with Gateway tech. support, they finally sent me
  31. another monitor (it was still under warranty) and it performed
  32. properly.  I had to use the fact that the two monitors performed
  33. differently under the same conditions to convince tech. support that
  34. my original monitor had broken.

  36. In the vein of the quality problems that the 14" monitor is famous
  37. for I would like to know if the 15" version is acceptably reliable.
  38. Did Gateway learn from their 14" quality experience?
