- It sounds like you have a defective monitor. I say this because the
- same thing happened to me. My original monitor worked fine until I
- heard a "pop" one day. After that I could never get the usable
- screen area to be as big as before.

- After much talking with Gateway tech. support, they finally sent me
- another monitor (it was still under warranty) and it performed
- properly. I had to use the fact that the two monitors performed
- differently under the same conditions to convince tech. support that
- my original monitor had broken.

- In the vein of the quality problems that the 14" monitor is famous
- for I would like to know if the 15" version is acceptably reliable.
- Did Gateway learn from their 14" quality experience?
