- I'm putting together a new 386/40 system. However I don't have enough money
- to purchase a decent VGA/monitor combo. So in the meantime I'd like to
- use either the monocrome or CGA compatable monitors I already have.
-
- I understand that if a normal 8 bit video card is used that the bus speed
- will need to be 8 Mhz. I wanted to know if anyone knew of a fast bus speed
- (and even better a 16 bit) card that works for my monitors. I'm planning on
- buying a fast IDE/serial/parallel card and would like to push the bus
- speed to at least 12 Mhz.
-
- any help given would be appriciated.
