- After waiting 6.5 weeks for my system, a 486/33DX
- from Oxy, it arrived on Monday Nov. 9th. I am happy
- to say that the long wait (especially with customer
- service people being less than honest about when it
- would ship) has been my only negative experience with
- Oxy. The system worked fine out of the box, I did not
- have to reseat any cards, etc. After a couple hours of
- use I noticed a intermittent flicker on the screen
- accompanied by a 'spark' sound. I investigated some
- possible causes and decided the montior itself was the
- problem. I called Oxy tech support on Thursday around
- noon (got someone on the first ring). I told the guy about
- the problem and the experiments I had done to narrow it
- down to the monitor. They shipped a new monitor out that
- day and I received it the next day.
-
- To sum up, I am impressed with the system and the fast
- replacement of the monitor.
-
- After exchanging e-mail with several others who cancelled
- and went with Gateway, I almost did the same but am now
- glad that I waited. (gw was a little higher in price).
