- I recently wrote to this newsgroup asking how to detect my PC's
- bus speed. The only solid answer that was forthcoming was that certain
- versions of the AMI BIOS have a variable you can set which divides the
- CPU clock to obtain the bus clock.
-
- My AMI BIOS doesn't have this feature. I have an ASUS motherboard
- manufactured in Taiwan, using the SIS chipset. I'd like to know
- how easy it is to upgrade your BIOS... can you simply buy the latest
- one from AMI and plug it in, or is it customized to the board?
-
- Does anyone have any experience with this?
