  11. I recently wrote to this newsgroup asking how to detect my PC's
  12. bus speed. The only solid answer that was forthcoming was that certain
  13. versions of the AMI BIOS have a variable you can set which divides the
  14. CPU clock to obtain the bus clock.

  16. My AMI BIOS doesn't have this feature. I have an ASUS motherboard
  17. manufactured in Taiwan, using the SIS chipset. I'd like to know
  18. how easy it is to upgrade your BIOS... can you simply buy the latest
  19. one from AMI and plug it in, or is it customized to the board?
