- I'm trying to install a new ESDI drive in my 386sx/16, and am having
- trouble. Im using a WD1007V-SE2 controller, and have a 9380 drive (330
- meg formatted capacity). The hardware goes in fine, and I can low-level
- format with WDFMT.EXE (from Western Digital), but can't access the
- on-board BIOS (I dont have the docs for the card). What happens is that
- FDISK will only show me 270 meg of the disk, and tell me that the 270meg
- partition it makes is 100% of the disk.
-
- What I would like:
- Jumper specs for the WD card so I can use the standard g=c800:5 to format it.
- OR
- Some shareware program that will let me format all 330 meg as a partition.
-
- BTW, I have the drive set up as type 47 (other) in my CMOS, with the
- proper settings for the 9380. HELP!!!
