- You pinpointed the problem yourself.. if you want to multitask with a
- communication task in the background you can't do witout a 16550, because it
- has a 16 byte buffer, making it possible for the CPU to spend less time
- looking at what comes in through the RS232. Without the 16550 incoming
- characters might get lost in the stream, as you have experienced..
