  16. reading comp.fonts aren't hardware orientated.... Too bad...

  26. I was wondering if someone out there (perhaps from Hewlett Packard) could
  27. provide me with the nessesery information to convert my own softfonts
  28. to rom-fonts.

  30. I own a HP-Laserjet+, and I'm using several soft fonts. I also do have a 
  31. font cardridge (Legal Elite). What i would like to try is to create
  32. a couple of new ROM's (EPROMS) containing just my own soft-fonts, and 
  33. substitute these in place of the normal LEGAL-ELITE roms. (Keep them
  34. exchangable).
  35. This would save a lot of down-loading time.

  37. What i need for this is the structure in which i should transform my
  38. soft-fonts. Things like - In what byte should the Pitch be stored
  39.             - In what byte should the Fixed/Proportional bit
  40.               be stored
  41.                         - Same for Height/Width/Italics-Normal/Boldness/etc..

  43. It would be (of course) most easy if someone already wrote a programm for
  44. this purpose, but it won't be a problem for me to write one if i could get
  45. the structure information from someone.
