- help!
-
- I've got the opportunity to buy a 386DX 40Mhz for about 400 pounds
- (I think that's about ~600 dollars US, but please don't take much
- account of this because I know that hardware is cheaper over there anyway!)
-
- The question is - am I shooting myself in the foot by buying a 386?
- Should I save my money and buy a 486 when I can? (Might be a *long* time!)
- Is this machine going to be fast enough to run most new software?
-
- Please give me as much advice as you can - I'm yoyoing between opinions
- at the moment!
-
- Replies via e-mail would be appreciated - I don't have time to read c.s.i.p.h
- very often.
-
- Thanks v. much
