  12. I'm just about to change from the IDE- to the SCSI-system.
  13. I want to buy a SCSI-II Harddisk and an EISA-SCSI-II-adaptor.

  15. The AMI Eisa Caching SCSI hostadaptor or the Mylex DCE376 (is
  16. this an SCSI-II adaptor, too?) seem to be very fast controllers
  17. under MS-DOS or Novell. But how about WindowsNT? Will this
  18. adaptors be that fast with the NTFS as well? As I plan to run
  19. WindowsNT as soon as it's final release appears I want to be
  20. sure i get an adaptor which is really fast for the NTFS.
  21. Of course, any recommendation for another SCSI-II-adaptor
  22. will be appreciated.

  25. I plan to get a fixed disk which has a capacity of about
  26. 500Mb. What manufacturer would you suggest? I think that
  27. fixed disk from either Quantum, Conner, Maxtor or Fujitsu
  28. should all be good. Can anyone confirm/deny this or
  29. make any suggestions?
