  14. I've got a trusty 9000/350 with a telebit t3000 attached on the 
  15. modem port.  I've locked the interface at 19200, set up Dialers,
  16. Devices, Systems and what not just fine.  If I 'cu -l cua00 dir'
  17. I talk to the modem fine.  If I dial a selection of other modems 
  18. (2400 and v.32), I connect fine.  If I 'cu -d9 drd' (my work system),
  19. The debug shows me that all is working great.  The Dialers script for
  20. the modem type called out in Devices gets invoke, it does an ATZ and
  21. some other nifty stuff and away it goes.

  23. However, if I invoke uucico on the same system, it gets to the point
  24. where it issues the 'ATZ' from Dialers and just hangs.

  26. I can't figure out what could be different between calling my work
  27. system between cu and uucico (other than the actual programs,
  28. obviously).  Until now, if I could 'cu system', 'Uutry system' was
  29. never a problem.

  31. Anybody have any ideas on this?  Are there configuration parameters
  32. that cu consults (successfully) that uucico doesn't?

  34. Oh yeah, though I've got inittab configured, I don't get a login prompt
  35. when I call the modem either.  sigh.
