- 1. Does the PacPage ctg even respond when configured for LaserJet parallel?
- Is the LJ capable of bi-directional parallel, and if so, what method does
- it use? As far as I know, only the new LaserJet-4, with IEEE-P1284
- "BiTronics", has duplex parallel capability. Even if the older LJs have
- duplex parallel with a PacPage, it is unlikely to work because...

- 2. The input capability on current Series 300/400/700 was based on a semi-
- proprietary Canon/HP protocol developed for the original ScanJet and
- ScanJet+ (Current ScanJets are McSCSI or SCSI). Prior to IEEE-P1284,
- there was no standardization of Centronics/parallel input modes, and
- varieties of techniques abound.

- X. Possible line of investigation...

- Can the PacPage be configured to listen on parallel, and talk on serial?
- If so, you could read back on a serial port.
