- : Is this a bug or a feature?
- : When I scroll through a doc in vuepad using PgDn (on the Vectra PC
- : keyboard) then go for finer control using the down arrow key I find that
- : I jump back to the top of the doc where the I bar and the ^ are still
- : sitting.
-
- This is a bug, which is fixed in the version of vuepad released with
- HP-UX 9.0.
-
- : In a similar vein - if I mark a block of test to move it using the
- : keyboard (Shift-down arrow then Shift-Del) I must then move the
- : ^cursor with the mouse to mark the destination point. Moving the i-bar
- : with the keyboard is no good because the i-bar and ^ cursor do not stay
- : in sync.
-
- It's a bug (IMO, and that counts here), but one that is very difficult
- to fix while utilizing the Motif 1.1 Text Widget (on top of which vuepad
- is built). When/if vuepad migrates to Motif 1.2, this bug should
- disappear. The whole concept of the "^" cursor is, in my opinion,
- broken and thankfully it will go away eventually.
