Hello... I have recently cone into possesion of an "hp-260" workstation.
It was donated to a local high school by a financial institution, and I
was contacted to help make it work. I have zero hp experience, but plenty
of sun workstation experience. I have put the whole thing together, (system
consists of a cpu box, labeled hp 260, another box which contains a disk of
unknown size, and a 1/4" cartridge tape drive.) turning this beast on, with
one of hps' terminals connected to "controller 1" shows self tests happening
"droms" loading, and system software loading. The machine then sits there,
and seems to be really good at interpreting BASIC programs.

So... what do I have here? What do I need to do/get to make it work?
I understand this box will run some version of hp-ux, and that I need
to get some boot tapes for it (no tapes or docs came with, of course)
HP has been of no help- tells me they cant help me... don't support the
thing/software any more. I would be eternally grateful if someone could at
least point me in the right direction... if someone could provide software
to get this thing on its feet, ill send you blank tapes-- any help would
be appreciated.
