  17. When I scroll through a doc in vuepad using PgDn (on the Vectra PC
  18. keyboard) then go for finer control using the down arrow key I find that
  19. I jump back to the top of the doc where the I bar and the ^ are still
  20. sitting.
  21. Other simple editors I have used (e.g. OS/2 e.exe) keeps the i
  22. bar/cursor insertion point in sync with PgDn/PgUp movements.
  23. The HP way requires I move from the keyboard to the mouse and click it
  24. somewhere on the page I have scrolled to. This is very clumsy for an
  25. editor which is necessarily a keyboard focussed app.

  27. In a similar vein - if I mark a block of test to move it using the
  28. keyboard (Shift-down arrow then Shift-Del) I must then move the
  29. ^cursor with the mouse to mark the destination point. Moving the i-bar
  30. with the keyboard is no good because the i-bar and ^ cursor do not stay
  31. in sync.

  33. Is this lack of co-ordination between keyboard and mouse a bug or a
  34. feature?
  35. If it is a feature what on earth is the use of it?
