  13. I haven't been able to get much help from HP tech support
  14. on this, but...

  16. Has anyone noticed that when you rlogin from a Sun
  17. running 4.1.2 and OpenLook window manager OpenWindows 3.0,
  18. set the $DISPLAY to the hostname of the sun, that you
  19. cannot display hpterm, ovw, or hpcalc, on the Sun?
  20. xterm, xclock work as expected.  But none of the Motif
  21. clients I tried (admittedly just those few) will 
  22. display on the Sun.  Instead it just hangs forever...

  24. HP suggested a work around where you set your
  25. .Xdefaults resources on both the Sun and HP as
  26. *useColorObj: False

  28. It still didn't work for us.  Now, instead of hanging,
  29. it'll core dump.  Apparently the guys at HP said that
  30. it does work for them (the workaround) but not for
  31. us.  I'm wondering what version of the Motif libraries
  32. on the HP would make it work.  Our libXm.a is dated
  33. Dec 1991.  Is a newer version available?  And does
  34. it fix the problem?

  36. Anyone have any ideas?  This is urgent since we cannot
  37. run ovw (part of HP OpenView) remotely on our Suns.
