- I need to fully understand all the issues involved in compiling code
- on a 700 so that it will run on both 800's and 700's. At first glance,
- the +DA compiler switch suggests it can be done, but at what cost?
- Reading on, the +DS switch adds to my confusion. What implications
- are there in terms of shared libraries etc.?
-
- On a more political note, does HP have a position on whether or not
- this is a good idea, and to what extent do they "support" it?
-
- If this were possible, I probably wouldn't like to see software developers
- just meeting the lowest common denominator (ala 8088/286/386). What
- do others think?
