  11. After working on multiple platforms for a while I am starting to 
  12. question the format that HP compilers store their debug format in.
  13. I dont doubt that the format is well suited for the task, but rather 
  14. that it is kept private.  We primarily use the Gnu compilers here
  15. because they are constant across platforms.  I dont expect that from
  16. HP since part of the system performance story is due to compiler
  17. technologies, but it would be oh-so-nice if another debugger could
  18. read and debug the object files.  Xdb is a fine debugger, but not as
  19. feature-rich as gdb.  What (if anything) can be done to get the 
  20. debug format information released?
