- According to information from way deep inside the brain, the XP (Cache Memory)
- versions of the 793x contained up to 2MB of controller cache which was ONLY
- accessible by HP3000 systems running MPE.
-
- No HP9000 system have been known (or I was never told) to use that extra
- memory, and the XP versions of the drive, as far as I remembered, did not
- appear on the Price Lists for HP9000 systems (s300/500/600/800).
