- We ran two 4410 terminals at 9600 baud in our Packaging Warehouse which
- was a block away from and a floor below the 3B2. After 3 years on the
- 3B and two more on our Pyramid they show no sign of lost or garbled
- data. The building is a block long, and these terminals are as far
- from the computer as they can get and not be outside! For long runs
- we use 50-pair phone-type cables with "harmonica" adapters on each end
- to convert them back to 4-pair modular.

-
- $5 sounds reasonable. AT&T wants ~$45 for the pre-wired Terminal/Printer
- and ACU Modem adapters. But if I understand what you're talking about,
- you still need the crimped cable to run between the adapters. I must
- be missing something. Anyway, try to get a crimper. They're great.
- We use regular flat 4-pair cable that costs about 7 cents a foot. You
- can make cables up any length - its the model ov convenience. Got a
- rolled-over cable and need a straight-through? Cut off one end and
- crimp on another! BTW, I don't have any stock in cable-crimper companies.
