- I have the *two* original TOS 1.4 ROMs laying next to me because I
- upgraded my MEGA ST to TOS 2.06! I won't need these ROMs any more and a
- girlfriend with (my old :-) 520 ST has TOS 1.0 with *six* chips! I want
- to copy my two ROMs into six EPROMS in order to install them into her
- Atari! I'll give her my original ROMs, too!
-
- That is legal!

-
- Exactly! What I want to do is to patch her EPROMs with WINX 2.0. It
- supports 40 Windows under GEM and minimized slider bars and more! There
- is a CPX-Module to configure the new features.
- You do not need to patch your ROMs, but it saves memory and loading time
- I think. If you have TOS 1.xx simply put WINX.PRG in your AUTO folder.
- If you have TOS 2.xx you'll need GEMRAM for copying your GEM into RAM.
- If you have a TT look into the WINX documentation: There are some
- Utilities recommended.

- Can I go to an electronic dealer and ask for 256k (kBit i think) EPROMs
- with 150ns or better. Won't he ask me for the pin compatibilities to any
- ROM?
