- In fact, I find the extra protection provided by C++ even more advantageous
- for new users (although they don't HAVE to use the C++ extensions if they
- don't want to).

- IMO, the only difficult part about GCC is that it can be difficult to
- install, since it is so large. But the original poster has a hard drive,
- so there's no big hassle.
