- From what I've determined, Winx works only on German Roms, so I
- guess the answer to you question is yes and no. I'd heard the author was
- going to add US 1.4 ROM support, but that hasn't happened yet, and no
- one in NA has tried to figure out what the differences are and patch it.
- I traced through the program for a few hours, but never went back to it.
- So for now, you're only real way of using it is to obtain German 1.4
- roms and install them. Or get into assembly hacking and fix the WINX
- program. I'm guessing the author found a sysrem routine that checked
- window open limits, and patched around it. Obviously musch of the GEM
- code must be open ended enough that there's a limit check holding the
- window limit down, unless the author of Winx rewrote a lot of routines.
