  20.     From what I've determined, Winx works only on German Roms, so I
  21. guess the answer to you question is yes and no. I'd heard the author was
  22. going to add US 1.4 ROM support, but that hasn't happened yet, and no
  23. one in NA has tried to figure out what the differences are and patch it.
  24. I traced through the program for a few hours, but never went back to it.
  25.     So for now, you're only real way of using it is to obtain German 1.4
  26. roms and install them. Or get into assembly hacking and fix the WINX
  27. program. I'm guessing the author found a sysrem routine that checked
  28. window open limits, and patched around it. Obviously musch of the GEM
  29. code must be open ended enough that there's a limit check holding the
  30. window limit down, unless the author of Winx rewrote a lot of routines.
