  14. Trying to get another few months of use out of my trusty Apple (//c,
  15. actually, with 1meg of memory a la Applied Engineering Z-ram),
  16. I'm wondering if there is software available that I don't know about.
  17. In particular, I need a word processor that does footnotes, and
  18. basically is flexible enough to prepare manuscripts for journal
  19. articles that involve no fancy stuff like equations or diagrams.  The
  20. printer will be either a Deskjet or Bubblejet.  I have an old version
  21. of Appleworks, and to my recollection it does not do footnotes.
