  11. The problem is to put the complete OS on a small disk (80 Mb). Since
  12. the disk is too small to contain even the smallest distribution (Aegis
  13. small), during the installation you have to remove some directories
  14. using a second window. I removed the following directories:
  15.  
  16.     /sau[2..12] (except the sau for your machine)
  17.     /sys/debug
  18.     /sys/hardcopy
  19.     /usr/apollo/ada
  20.     /usr/lib.uucp
  21.     /usr/X11
  22.  
  23. In my first attempt I also removed the directory '/sys/dm/fonts',
  24. because I incorrectly assumed that the fonts loaded by the boot tape
  25. were sufficient to start the dm.

  27. However using the above procedure I still had a little problem with the
  28. rgyd because it wasn't installed in the 'etc' directory. A simple copy
  29. from the /install/ri.apollo.os.10.3/etc/rgyd solved this. After the
  30. installation and a reboot I have approximately 18 Mb of free storage.
