  13. I have a question about the comment feilds of files.

  15. I just brought a copy of DirOpus 3.41, and when I used it to check my
  16. system, I foudn that some files had a strange character as the first
  17. letter of the comment.

  19. I have never noticed this before, and I had never seen it before.  If
  20. I used the list command, or anything else which shows the comment, the
  21. extra character is not shown.

  23. After talking to my friend on the phone, we (well, he) suggested that
  24. it might be the number of chatacters in the comment field.  And it
  25. was.

  27. According to "Mapping the Amiga" and several other books, the
  28. character is the first of the 80 characters set aside for the comment.

  31. Can anyone please tell me if this is ment to be here, and what we are
  32. ment to do with it?  Am I ment to skip the first character, or what?
