- Hello gurus,
-
- I have a question regarding Requesters, GadTools gadgets, ReqTools etc.
-
- Firstly I gather that you can't use GadTools gadgets in a requester. So,
- if I want to create a requester using GadTools gadgets I would just fake
- it with a window, right? Things like file requesters and stuff I can do
- with ReqTools if I want, but I also have some rather complex requesters
- I need to put up. Now, while these "requester" are up, I want to block
- all user input into the main window, and put up a wait pointer when the
- main window is active. ReqTools provides a function to do just this.
- Even GadTools gadgets don't do any rendering when you use this function.
- What I wanna know is, how do you do this yourself (without using the
- ReqTools function - if I end up deciding to use ReqTools requesters,
- which I may well do, then I'll use that function, but for now I would
- rather stick to ASL stuff so I don't have to distribute YAL - yet another
- library - with software) in a system friendly way? (Read that last sentence
- without the stuff in brackets so it makes sense %^).
-
- Any ideas? Am I overlooking something entirely obvious?
-
- Oh, FYI (for your information - why do I keep using acronyms when I then
- just go and expand it in brackets?) I will be writing this stuff to use
- V37 and above functions (very restrictive of me, hey!).
-
- Thanks,
-
